Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

BAEC maintains a number of Program Educational Objectives (PEO) so that its graduates are capable of:

  • Becoming facilitators linking between sources of innovations and the agricultural community;
  • Becoming catalysts of agricultural innovation development based on local wisdom developed in the community;
  • Synergizing the roles of various stakeholders in empowering the community;
  • Becoming drivers of agricultural communities to utilize ICT for agriculture.

Therefore, BAEC’s PEOs are formulated according to the vision and mission of the study program, which is synergized with the vision and mission of Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Vision

To become a pioneer of excellent, and quality agricultural extension and communication study program that is aimed at enhancing human resource capacity in the development of science and technology in the field of agricultural extension and communication, and for the purpose of serving the interest of the nation and humanity imbued with the nation’s cultural values based on foundation of state (Pancasila). In accordance with UGM’s vision and mission to “conduct education, research, and community service as well as preserve and develop excellent knowledge useful to the community”, BAEC accordingly formulated its mission in implementing the study program as follows.

  • To develop agricultural extension and communication science through education, research, and community service;
  • To produce graduates who excel in planning, implementing, and evaluating agricultural extension and communication in a confident and responsible manner so that they have the ability to provide solutions to social agricultural issues in the community;
  • To develop networks with various institutions concerning the field of agricultural extension and communication in order to provide solutions to issues of agricultural development

    Our curriculum is structured over 16 sessions per course, incorporating face-to-face, blended, and e-learning methods via platforms like e-Lisa and Google Classroom. The academic year runs from August to June, divided into two semesters. Field Study/Community Service (KL/KKN) activities are typically conducted between semesters.
