DesaApps is a extension and communication-based digital android application that has been developed by Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Universitas Gadjah Mada is the only university in Indonesia that develop digital agricultural extension application. DesaApps application standing for Digital Extension Society for Agriculture, was launched in 19 Desember 2016. DesaApps offers features such as QnA, Article, Farming Notes, Weather Info, Shop Info, Office Info and Market Info.
During the pandemic situation, DesaApps contributes to educate society that felt insecure with the issues of food safety and food security. We respond with hosting webinars namely Bincang Desa (BISA). BISA was firstly aired in 3-4 May 2020 with the theme Collaboration to Manage Food Security in Covid Situation. Until now, BISA is aired fortnightly inviting speakers from academia, practitioner and farmers.
