The Study Program of Agricultural Extension and Communication (PKP) at Universitas Gadjah Mada underwent a Field Assessment (AL) process for accreditation and academic quality assurance by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Agriculture (LAM PTIP) from Sunday to Tuesday (7–9/6/2026). The event, centered at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, hosted two assessors as the expert panel: Prof. Dr. Ir. Siti Herlinda, M.Si. and Prof. Dr. Ir. Soetriono, M.P.
The evaluation process commenced with the arrival and welcoming of the assessor team on Sunday (7/6/2026) by the management of the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS) and study program LOs. Intensive document verification and comprehensive interviews were subsequently carried out on Monday (8/6/2026) at the Dekanat Meeting Room and the Joglo Room of the Faculty of Agriculture, UGM.
The field assessment was officially opened with the introduction of the assessor panel and the signing of the Field Assessment Statement. This important agenda was attended by university leadership, including the Rector of UGM and the Head of the University Quality Assurance and Reputation Unit. Also present to oversee the proceedings were the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UGM, Prof. Ir. Jaka Widada, M.P., Ph.D., along with the Vice Deans, the Chair of the Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics, Prof. Dr. Ir. Irham, M.Sc., and the Head of the PKP Study Program, Ratih Ineke Wati, S.P., M.Agr., Ph.D.
The evaluation process was conducted through several parallel sessions to verify the functional Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) as well as data from the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) and Self-Evaluation Report (LED). In addition to reviewing management aspects at the UPPS level, the LAM PTIP assessor team also gathered external perspectives to measure the quality of the program’s outputs. This was accomplished through dedicated discussion sessions with lecturers, administrative staff (tendik), active students, as well as alumni and external stakeholders from both government and private sectors who attended both in-person and online.
A field visit was also carried out by the assessor team to the Agricultural Extension and Communication Laboratory and various learning facilities under the coordination of the Head of the Laboratory, Dr.agr. Ir. Sri Peni Wastutiningsih. This inspection was aimed at directly verifying the feasibility of the facilities, technological infrastructure, and supporting media units used in the student learning process.
The field assessment series concluded with the presentation of feedback, preparation of the draft recommendation, and the official signing of the Field Assessment Minutes by the assessor panel and the leadership of UPPS/PKP Study Program UGM. Through this assessment, the PKP Study Program UGM reaffirms its ongoing commitment to maintaining high educational quality to produce outstanding graduates in the field of agricultural extension and communication.
